Silver Springs, Florida was an amazing place for people to visit. It is one of the largest artesian spring formations around. The water is crystal clear allowing visitors to see all the way to the bottom.
Photographer Bruce Mozert was hired to take new images to keep the tourists attracted to the location.
He didn't do your average point and shoot tourist images but instead constructed a waterproof camera. For an incredible 45 years, Mozert created scenes completely underwater and photographed them. They featured people doing everyday things such as playing golf, reading the newspaper, and grilling. He used tricks such canned condensed milk to create "smoke" coming off of the grill.
The way he portrayed Silver Springs was in a light, carefree way. Check out some of the images he created:
